And best of all, the local bus stops right outside our hotel and takes you to countless excursion destinations! ! Or just rent an e-bike directly from our lodge.
Adventure on foot
If you want to explore the natural landscapes around Natz on foot, you should go on a blossom hike to the Sommersürs biotope and to the Laghetto Flötscher/Flötscher Weiher pond. A village hike from Natz to Schabs and on to Raas also guarantees a wonderful panorama and a welcoming atmosphere. Another walk for apple lovers is the apple trail in Natz-Schabs, which provides a lot of information about apple growing in Natz-Schabs and the apple region of South Tyrol. In addition, the famous Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, the largest high Alpine pasture in Europe, Plose, the Sass de Putia/Peitlerkofel, or the rustic Val Badia/Gadertal can be reached quickly and easily from our Mountain Lodge and await you with fantastic hikes. To cut a long story short: our Mountain Lodge offers the perfect starting point for numerous hikes, activities, and unforgettable adventures. And best of all, with the Natz-Schabs Guestpass, you can use all cable cars and public transport in the Rio Pusteria/Gitschberg-Jochtal holiday region free of charge and easily reach various starting points for your mountain adventures. You’ll receive the card at check-in.
Action on two wheels
Mountain bikers certainly won’t be bored here: You can explore the area on one of the numerous bike trails and get to know the tracks of the Brixen Bikepark. Here you will find several lines with different levels of difficulty, which offer pure thrills and maximum endorphins. Circumnavigating Plose is also a particular beautiful tour, which takes you around Brixen’s local mountain in about six hours. For further tips, your hosts Renate and Rudi are at your service. You don’t have your own bike? No problem: You can rent your two wheels for the day at Kessler’s Mountain Lodge.
If you’d prefer to take things a little easier, that’s also no problem: We also rent brand-new e-bikes including servicing agreement in summer at a small fee for pleasant bike tours to reach higher altitudes with less effort. So, hop on your bike, get ready, get set, go!
Sights around Natz
With fantastic hikes and exciting bike tours, the action is seemingly never-ending on your summer holiday in Natz! Numerous events and sights await you here, which will make your time out a unique experience. How about a visit to the bishop’s town of Brixen, which magically enchants with its picturesque old town? Particularly worth seeing are the cathedral, a building from the 12th century, as well as the White Tower, which belongs to the parish church of St. Michael and is considered the city’s landmark. If you’d like to take a trip back in time, you should pay a visit to the Forte di Fortezza/Franzensfeste fortress, an imposing defensive structure in the village of the same name. At Rodengo/Rodenegg castle and Castel Forte/Trostburg castle, you can learn interesting facts about life in the Middle Ages. In the mineral museum in Teis, there are around 200 impressive Teis crystal spheres exhibited by the passionate mineral collector Paul Fischnaller.
